When you have a small closet, proper storage is a must. While you may have room to stack comforters neatly in a large closet, I found that our comforters were all over the place in our small bedroom closet. I decided to purchase some storage bags to help the problem. One brand I tried was the Kennedy Home Collection. While their blanket storage bag was a bit expensive, I thought it looked like it would do a great job. Would this bag be worth the expense or another bag that split its seams?
The Kennedy Home Collection Blanket Storage Bag measures 24x18x12 inches. I found that this was the perfect size not only for comforters, but sheets as well. I'm able to keep four sets of queen sized sheets and a couple quilts in one bag and, with a bit of squishing, I've been able to fit a queen sized and king sized comforter in one bag. If you would using these bags just for quilts and thinner covers, I would say you would easily fit five blankets in one bag.
I'm happy to say that these bags have held up quite well. One of the zippers did come undone while trying to squish too much into one bag, but that was my fault and thankfully, each bag has two zippers. I also like the fact that the bag has a see through window, which makes it easier to identify what the contents are. Another feature I like are the handles on the sides of the bags, which make them easier to carry. Best of all though, these bags are easy to stack in the bottom of your closet, which makes organization in a small closet much easier.
Sadly, these bags have went up in price since I first purchased mine. Currently, these bags sell for a little less than $15 each. In my opinion, that price is a little hard to swallow. When I purchased these bags, I paid around half that price.
I would have to give these bags 5 out 5 stars. If you can find these bags for a decent price, I highly recommend them. They hold up well, offer a great storage solution for small spaces and hold quite a bit. Be on the lookout for great deals and grab a few when they go on sale.
