The Kentucky State Poker Championship in 2011 will bring 60 Charity event winners together to determine a true Poker Champion for Kentucky poker players. The tournament sponsored by "Poker In Kentucky" at www.PokerKY.com and hosted by the "Geeks On Poker" radio show will be held in June 2011. With prizes and entry fees provided by Kentucky area sponsors the KSPC is truly a grass roots effort to the charity poker community.

Poker tournaments are usually very tough to beat and charitable gaming events are generally even tougher. On top of beating a room full of skilled poker players the hosting charity gets a minimum of 40% of the prize pool as established by Kentucky State Law. Since most casinos only charge 10% of the prize pool to host a tournament many regular Kentucky poker players choose to try their luck at regional casinos. With modern facilities, buffets, hotels and night clubs next to the casinos charitable gaming and poker events cannot compete.

By offering a statewide championship the organizers and sponsors hope to give Kentucky poker a boost, improve attendance and help Kentucky charities in the process. To learn more, include your charity or sponsor and event or player visit: http://pokerky.blogspot.com/p/kentucky-poker-tour.html
