Ker's Winghouse in Daytona Beach, Florida: Restaurant Review

Travel just off Interstate 95 in Daytona Beach about a quarter mile down International Speedway Blvd. and you will see the Ker's Winghouse restaurant. It's usually loaded with people inside and out but don't let this stray you in another direction because the last thing you want to do is miss out on some great food! Besides, although there may be a myriad of people outside this doesn't necessarily mean that the Winghouse is overcrowded--there's plenty of room to hang out and have a great time inside and out!

The Menu at Ker's Winghouse in Daytona Beach

The Winghouse menu consists of lots of different items besides their world famous breaded wings. In addition to wings the menu offers wraps, salads, pastas, sandwiches and burgers, and various bar or tavern type foods and appetizers such as nachos and fried mozzarella sticks.

We were there for wings so that's what we ordered. Two types, Dallas wings and Medium Buffalo wings. In addition to the wings, we also had some onion rings, mozzarella sticks, and a cheeseburger. For some reason when my husband and I go out to a new place we end up ordering way more than necessary in an effort to try out a bunch of the food. It works for us anyway!

A full liquor bar as well as beer, wine and soft drinks are also offered on the menu. For the kiddos--if you so choose to bring them there is also juice and milk.

The Winghouse Environment--Not for Everyone!

Well, my husband and I knew that one of the things Winghouse is known for is (like Hooters) the girls, so we weren't surprised when we got there and the girls were dressed in very small clothing articles. However, I wouldn't suggest taking grandma here for some wings as it may be a bit offending for the older crowd--and particularly to women. A bar type atmosphere, Winghouse isn't a place that you necessarily take the family out to dinner at but it is a great place to have a good time.

Set up similar to a sports bar with lots of additional seating, you can sit back and relax at the Winghouse while enjoying a baseball or football game on one of the many LCD televisions that are located throughout the restaurant. No matter where you sit, at the bar or at one of the many table and chair sets throughout the Winghouse you will be able to catch the game on one of these large televisions.

Winghouse Girls--And Service

The servers at the restaurant were all very nice and on task. We didn't have to wait at all to be seated, to order drinks, or for refills. The food was served piping hot and just as we ordered it. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the different Winghouse sauces and wing textures so that we knew exactly what we were ordering. We weren't rushed out either which is always a huge plus on my part--I don't get to go out without the kids very often and when we do I like to hang out for a while and enjoy the peace!

For a Good Time and Some Great Wings--Winghouse In Daytona Beach

Overall, the food was great, served hot and yummy just the way we like it and the service was very good too. Although it definitely isn't the atmosphere that everyone would approve of due to the slightly provocative clothing that the women wear for service, if you can get over that you're clear for a great meal. Winghouse is a good restaurant to go out with some friends--or even to spend an evening out with your husband in an environment that leaves a lot up to the imagination!
