Kevin Costner Sues Promotional Company

Kevin Costner filed a lawsuit earlier this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The lawsuit claims that a promotional company failed to live up to their end of a deal.

Costner claims that Mahee Worldwide Ventures promised him "millions of dollars in guaranteed fees". Those fees were for the rights to promote The Kevin Costner Band on the Internet and TV. Mahee Worldwide Ventures would also be allowed to "organize and promote up to five concerts a year" for two years.

According to documents filed, "no effort was made" to do anything. Therefore, Costner has suffered substantial damages and would like to collect. Kevin Costner is asking Mahee Worldwide Ventures to pay him $4 million in damages. The only reason for Costner signing with the company in the first place was because he was led to believe they had promoted several other big name celebrities. One of the celebrities he was told that the company promoted in the past was Lindsey Lohan.

Kevin Coster is a two-time Academy Award-winning American film actor and director who has often produced his own films. Costner's most popular success was the epic Dances With Wolves (1990). He directed and starred in the film and served as one of two producers. The film was nominated for twelve Academy Awards and won seven, including two in which he won for his acting.

Mahee Worldwide Ventures could not be reached for a comment. They have received the documents issuing the suit and will reply within the next couple weeks.

It is right to report on justice, and just because someone is a person of renown, does not mean that their substantial justice changes- of course, 4 million is an odd figure, is that the interest on the interest on the interest of Kevin's royalties off "Dances with Wolves?" JC - Dana
