Kevin McKidd Directs "Grey's Anatomy" Episode and Adele Returns

Kevin Mckidd who plays the role of Dr. Owen Hunt on "Grey's Anatomy" made his directorial debut on a episode with a complex story line. "Don't Deceive Me (Please Don't Go)" is the episode where Mark ( Eric Dane) tells his on-again, off -again girlfriend that he got his FWB ( friend with benefits) pregnant, while she was separated from her lesbian lover. Viewers are waiting to see how Lexie (Chyler Leigh) will react when she is told about Callie's (Sara Ramirez) pregnancy. Mckidd revealed in a recent interview that this story line will play out in a big way. His interview also expressed his gratitude towards his fellow actors for support. He mentioned that the actors on his team are painfully aware of how lucky they are for being employed during this economy. He received the offer to direct this episode after approaching management a year ago and asking to shadow the directors. He was then asked to direct some webisodes. Soon after he was offered this episode to direct.

The episode starts around Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey). The importance of his clinical trials for Alzheimer's is a story that will continue throughout the remaining season. During the same day, Callie has an emotional breakdown due to her hormone levels being high. She appears nervous about her lover and about Mark. Rachel Taylor is a new cast member. She plays the role of Callie's Obstetrics and Gynecology doctor. Callie will irritate her with being a nervous hypochondriac during the pregnancy.

During this episode Dr. Owen hunt is at the dentist's office, which offers a good off screen excuse for him to direct behind the scenes. He does act in one scene. Cristina (Sandra Oh) is back on her feet in this episode fighting and up to her usual ways.

One of the original first year "Grey's Anatomy"cast members is set to return to the show. She has been the focus in one of the many merry go round romances. With her return, there will be changes. She is coming back with a serious problem that requires a one to one consultation with a Seattle Grace doctor.

Loretta Devine will be making a return to "Grey's Anatomy". She appeared on the show as Adele Webber, Chief Webber's (James Pickens Jr.) outspoken and devoted wife. Adele grew increasingly frustrated as he slighted her and showed more devotion to the hospital than to his marriage. In the episode, Adele has taken ill and needs medical care. Adele will return in Mid- February 2011. Many viewers are excited about Adele's return. There is speculation that the medical treatment she receives may also set the scene for a Valentine's Day reunion for Adele and Chief Webber.
