Kevin Trudeau, author of the Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About book, has received much publicity over the past few years. Kevin's controversial book rose to the top of the New York Time's Best Seller List in 2005. Kevin Trudeau is considered a hero to some for taking on the Federal Trade Commission and the Food & Drug Administration. To the FTC and FDA, Kevin Trudeau is a walking nightmare. Although Kevin Trudeau is not a medical doctor, he says that he is a reporter, researcher, and investigator of natural cures. When asked about the natural cures he discusses in his book Kevin states, "These are not my natural cures. I'm not a licensed health care practitioner. I am simply reporting on the natural cures that are being discovered and developed from around the world. I'm simply telling you what other people's research has shown to be true. It's not my research and they're not my cures".

Kevin Trudeau alleges that he is fighting lawsuits from the FDA and the FTC because he is so passionately accuses these organizations of choosing money and profit over the nation's health. Kevin Trudeau believes and shows convincing evidence in his book that the FTC and FDA know that there are natural cures for many diseases. He says that these organizations also know the serious consequences of most prescription drugs on the market, yet continue to market them. He also claims the FTC and FDA know the risks of heart attacks, strokes, and many other severe side effects before they are released on the market. But due to the enormous costs of getting these prescriptions patented and in order to make money, they approve them regardless.

Kevin Trudeau has stated that he has even received death threats to try and shut him up but he refuses to quit spreading his message. If you really stop and think about it, much of what he says makes sense. Prescription drugs are approved by the FDA in spite of the numerous side effects reported and deaths some cause. The use of prescription drugs over time has also been reported to cause additional health problems leading to more prescription drug use.

Vitamins, homeopathic and other "natural" medicines are not FDA approved, despite numerous reports over the years of the cures and benefits from using these. Side effects for using the natural approaches are almost non-existent and cost a lot less to make. Companies that produce these products are forbidden by law to say what ailments and diseases these products can improve or cure.

Kevin Trudeau believes the drug companies control the media. He uses Time Magazine as an example. Because much of the advertising revenue Time Magazine receives is from the prescription drug industry, drug companies control much of the written content. Kevin also states that the drug industry controls what other ads are placed in Time Magazine. One of the senior board members of Time is also one of the board members of the drug company Eli Lilly. Kevin claims many other board members, officers and directors of Time own large amounts of stock in pharmaceutical companies. This is why Kevin alleges Time Magazine prints negative articles about him and forbid him from advertising his book. Kevin alleges this is why Time Magazine attacked Tom Cruise because he bashed the use of psychiatric drugs.

Kevin Trudeau believes there is a cure for breast cancer. In Natural Cures "They" Don't Want You To Know About, Kevin discusses how flaxseed oil, also known as linseed oil, is highly effective in the fight against breast cancer. For 20 years, health experts from around the world have been reporting these findings. Linseed oil is inexpensive and non-patentable. There is no major research being put into using linseed, or flaxseed oil, in treating breast cancer or other types of cancer.

Canadian researchers conducted a study where they gave women with breast cancer muffins containing linseed oil. Their research showed that just by eating one muffin per day, breast cancer cells were being killed at a higher rate than chemotherapy and radiation. The linseed oil also has none of the negative side effects or high costs. The problem lies in what was discussed earlier in this article. Linseed oil cannot be patented. Kevin says this means, "No drug company wants you to know about this because if you did then the chemotherapy business for breast cancer treatment would dramatically go down. All the companies and clinics that have chemotherapy equipment and drugs would lose hundreds of millions of dollars in sales and profits." Kevin fully believes that women's lives could be saved but the bottom line is always about the money.

Kevin Trudeau's book is very interesting and thought provoking. It will force you to stop and wonder if the FTC and FDA are harming us more than helping with prescription drugs and the foods we eat.
