Jeanne Marie Kerns
Looking for a great place to relax with friends and family after a long day or night at the slots? Look no further, here is a list of the top five lounges in Las Vegas you just do not want to pass by.

Pogo's Tavern located at 900 E. Karen is one of those lounges you might pass up due to the surroundings, but wait, park the car and go inside. You will be pleasantly surprised by Pogo's Tavern's ambiance as everyone is who first walks in. With drink prices averaging at just $3.00 and a big band to sit back and enjoy, this Las Vegas lounge is surely the place to be. Doors open at 9:00 am and close at midnight, happy hour is from 4:00pm-8:00pm. Big band performance is between 8:00pm - 11:00pm daily. And to make it even better, in 2004 Pogo's Tavern was voted best jazz club in Las Vegas! So while you are in Las Vegas, do not pass up this amazing lounge. I guarantee you will love it !

Mix at the Mandalay Bay is located at 3950 S. Las Vegas Blvd is a hip hop and rock lounge that will make you want to stay for hours. If you are afraid of heights pick another lounge. This lounge is located on the 64th floor and has a fabulous 360 degree view of downtown Las Vegas. There is a cover charge after 10:00pm, Sunday -Thursday the cover charge is $20.00, Friday and Saturday is $25.00. Now this lounge is not good on the wallets with prices of drinks ranging from $12-14 a drink, however the view itself is worth checking it out.

Voodoo Lounge located 51 stories up at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino located at 3700 W. Flamingo Road. This is not your everday lounge, once you get out of the line and get into the groove of things, the Voodoo Lounge is one place you will soon not forget. Bring your winnings to this bar, it is not some cheap lounge at all. Prices range from $30 to $800 a night to party in this hopping Las Vegas lounge. $30 is the price you pay to get to the front of the line and inside the lounge quickly, $800 is for a table of eight with a bottle of SKYY Vodka, mixers to go with the Vodka and gratuity! Unfortunately there is no happy hour at the Voodoo Lounge, but the music which consists of Top 40 hits, hip-hop, and dance music makes everything great ! So if you can afford it, I recommend you check this lounge out!

Aqua Lounge located at 1 Main Street inside the Plaza Hotel is one of those lounges in Las Vegas that allows you to just sit back and relax while the live music plays from 7:00pm to 12:30am Thursdays - Sunday. There is no cover charge if you are stayng inside the Plaza, if you are just coming in, the cover charge is $20.00 per person. Unfortunately there is no happy hour available at the Aqua Lounge, however if you love the Rat Pack, check out the show the Rat Pack is Back in the Plaza, you will be happy you did !

Last but not least I save the best for last..

Wasted Space located at 4455 Paradise Road inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is one of the top booming new lounges in Las Vegas that you just cannot miss out ! If you are a rock fan of any era you will enjoy this amazing lounge that brings out the rock star in you. Wasted Space has live music from 8:00pm - 4:00am Tuesdays - Sunday. Happy hour is between 4:00pm - 8:00pm with two for one call drinks. You just do not want to miss this amazing 5000 square foot lounge with some of the hottest new and old rock celebrities all in one area.

Hope you visit one of the five top lounges in Las Vegas !

I had free entry to the Voodoo lounge because of players status and free drinks. It was okay but I would never pay $800 unless the drinks were a magic elixer that made me younger or psychic at cards and slots.
