Supplies for Easter Bunny Single-Egg Holder (per holder)

1 12x12 inch piece cardstock in your choice of color

Ruler
Glue
Tape
1 hardboiled egg

Optional: stickers, stamps, ribbons

Optional: jelly beans, foil chocolate eggs, or other small treats

Step-by-Step Instructions to Make Paper Easter Bunny Single-Egg Holders

Note: Since this egg holder is made from cardstock, it is only meant for one egg and a few candies. If you want a stronger egg holder, substitute a small cardboard box for the rectangle box.

1. Boil egg and color it before assembling your Easter bunny. Set aside.

2. Take the 12x12 inch scrapbook paper and use the pencil to draw a bunny head outline. The example bunnies are about 10 inches long-8 inches for the bunny head and 2 inches for the neck.

3. Cut the bunny head using scissors.

4. Use the pencil to draw the bunny's facial features. Draw eyes, a nose, a mouth, a bunny tooth, eyelashes, a chin, and inner ears.

5. Color the bunny's facial features using your favorite pens or crayons. Be creative!

6. Fold the 2 inch neck piece in half so the raw edge is at the back.

7. Make the single-egg holder or decorate a small cardboard box.

8. Cut a 1.5 inch strip from the remaining 12 x 12 inch cardstock.

9. Glue a decorative paper strip to the front of this 1.5 inch piece.

10. Allow to dry.

11. Fold this strip in half once and then in half again so that the 1.5 inch strip is in quarters.

12. Unfold the strip and tape the ends together to form the box.

13. Cut a 3 x 3 inch square from the remaining cardstock.

14. Use tape to adhere the square to the bottom of the paper rectangle.

15. Use tape to adhere the bunny to the inside of the newly formed egg holder. Be sure to also tape the back of the bunny to the back of the box.

16. If you used a cardboard box to make a stronger holder, decorate it and then glue the bunny to the inside of the newly decorated egg holder.

17. Place a colored hard-boiled egg inside your new Easter bunny holder and enjoy your craft project!

Embellishment Ideas for Paper Easter Bunny Egg Holders

1. Use ribbons instead of decorative paper as accents.

2. Use glue-on crystals or glitter to add some sparkle.

3. Draw small Easter eggs on the rectangle box.

Your new Easter bunny egg holder can be fun table centerpieces or place settings for Easter events.
