Kid Kusion Driveway Safety Gate

After Pondering Whether We Should Buy This Gate for Our Driveway, We Finally Broke Down and Did. This is My Review!

One day while sitting at my OB/GYN's office, I was flipping through one of those parenting magazines, and this article about this driveway safety gate caught my eye. It was called the Kid Kusion Driveway Safety Gate. It appeared to be these two white stakes in the ground and a long orange fence that spanned the width of the driveway. There was a picture of a kid riding his bicycle in front of it. I thought, "Wow, now that's a really great idea! My kid could play on the driveway without flying down it into the street, and the gate could stop a ball from going into the street." I then did something I never thought I'd do, I ripped a page out of a doctor's office magazine and shoved it in my purse.

I got home and I went to their website to check out how much this amazing gate could be. The website is www.kidkusion.com. They have two different kinds of driveway safety gates. One is an 18' gate and the other is a 25' gate. The 18' gate retails for $90.00 and the 25' gate retails for $125.00, both come with free shipping and handling.

After much research, I went ahead and bought one of these gates. When it arrived, I was very pleased to see that it came fully assembled! All you had to do was to put the pipes into the ground and you were good to go! It comes with two PVC pipes that you have to dig into the ground, then the gate just slides into them. The best way to describe the action of the gate is that it works like a retractable window shade. You just pull it across and put it into the PVC pipe and when you're done, it retracts right back. We always take it down everyday, because we don't want someone to steal it, plus you don't know really what the elements of the weather might do to it. The netting is made of plastic. It seems to be very strong, even though it doesn't look like it is! I'm sure they have done plenty of testing on it to ensue its' safety. Please remember, your kids can just walk right around the gate to get out into the street, so they still need to be supervised.

Overall, this is a GREAT invention! My son is loving being able to play on the driveway! He can ride his bike on the driveway and play ball with Daddy now! I give the Kid Kusion Driveway Safety Gate 4 out of 5 Tiaras on the Amy Gayle Scale.
