Kidco Center Gateway - Child Gate Review

You would not expect such a lovely product from a company named "Kidco". Really. But take a look at the Kidco Center Gateway. You would think that it was installed in my hallway as part of the design of my house. But guess what? This seventy-nine dollar product is not in any way permanently attached to our hallway. I just bought the Kidco Center Gateway to prevent my toddler from getting into the kitchen, where so many hazardous appliances are stored and where countless accidents can happen.

If you did not think you needed a safety gate when you were building your home or if you did not make provisions for your child's safety prior to his birth, you will be relieved to know that there is a tasteful and elegant way to still do so with the Kidco Center Gateway. The Kidco Center Gateway measures twenty-nine inches in height by two inches in width and thirty inches in length. It weights fifteen pounds. It is tall enough to prevent small children from climbing over themselves and great for keeping pets out of certain areas as well. The Kidco Center Gateway is capable of securing doorways that measure twenty-nine point twenty-five inches up to thirty-seven point five inches wide. If you have a bigger space, you can also purchase extension kits which will then make the total length of the gate up to forty-nine inches.

The Kidco Center Gateway is extremely attractive with its tubular steel construction. It is sturdy as well. Even if it is not permanently attached to the doorway, the Kidco Center Gateway is pressure mounted. This is a great advantage because it is super sturdy yet it does not do any damage to your walls. There is no more need for bringing out the drills and screws. All you have to do to assemble the Kidco Center Gateway is to place the mounting pads on the wall and use the pressure mounted system to attach it to the doorway. The Kidco Center Gateway can also be removed should you wish to do so, and you will be happy to find that you did not make any ugly marks or holes in your walls and doorways. Installing and removing the Kidco Center Gateway is such a breeze and you can transfer it from one space to another easily, should you wish to do so.

The Kidco Center Gateway can open in either direction, making it ultra convenient for any type of space. Thus if both your hands are full with say, carrying your baby or a tray with your meals, you can easily move in and out of the doorway by just pushing the Kidco Center Gateway either way. The Kidco Center Gateway is an excellent child safety gate and I highly recommend it.
