Kidd Chris, Prducer, John Cook and Schwoogies Song Lyrics 86'd by CBS as Offensive
Happy Birthday Kidd Chris. You're Fired.
As can be seen in a news article by Dan Gross of the Daily News, Philadelphia CBS Radio Station 94WYSP personality Kidd Chris (aka: Chris Foley) has finally been fired along with his program director John Cook for repetitiously playing... uh, for playing a song called Schwoogies more than once on at least two different days in the month of March 2008.
Lady Gash wrote Schwoogies and appeared on the CBS Kidd Chris radio show as a guest with a new song. Kidd Chris and his program director and the program directors boss and the boss over that boss.... Uh, Kidd Chris and immediate radio staff members did not see anything wrong with the first four words of the Schwoogies song: "Coloreds steal your wallets" which catches the attention of every radio listener instantly.
(Some of those listeners recorded the song and shot those horrible lyrics off into internet-land where I stumbled over them, offended beyond words, some time ago while researching for a political article about racism.)
Kidd Chris and staff didn't see anything wrong with the next fourteen words of the Schwoogies song either: "and coloreds have pink feet. Coloreds are loud and obnoxious, when they watch movies." Kidd Chris and staff considered this kind of music funny.
CBS executives learned that Kidd Chris was playing this song in March and terminated his ability to play that song.
Next, CBS started an internal investigation to find out if this song was offensive, and to stop songs like this from being played in the future. Kidd Chris played these next twenty-two words from the Schwoogies song in March. Kidd Chris was not fired in March. "Sticky fingers, what they are, Always try to jack my car, Schwoogies! Or shines, you can call them anything you like. Schwoogies!"
CBS fired Kidd Chris today, in May. CBS finally had YouTube pull the song clip. Lady Gash no longer has the link to the song clip on her MySpace page. However, the Schwoogies song is still out there causing damages thanks to Kidd Chris. This next Schwoogies song line is horrible: "Watch out, jigs will rob you, day or night. Schwoogies. Mookie doesn't like to work, Just rolls blunts all day long. But there's one job he can do, hold a lantern on my lawn."
Kidd Chris was promoting hatred. Kidd Chris was trying to start trouble by playing this song. Kidd Chris wanted to make people mad. The act of CBS firing this man about two months after this type of behavior is an outrage. CBS knew that many of us would be offended in March. That is when Kidd Chris should have been terminated.
No, I am not going to give you all of the words to the Schwoogies song. It is out there if you need to see more. In my opinion, the bottom line to this whole nasty Schwoogies thing is that Kidd Chris was wrong, and the CBS staff all of the way up to the top is wrong. This matter should have been stopped instantly. Schwoogies never should have been able to get to the radio station airwaves in the first place. I am mad. I am offended. And, I am not of the race that the song is about. CBS blew it big time. We're all mad.
On a cheerier note, Kidd Chris was having a birthday party tonight according to the Daily News article. This party was going to be held at the Whiskey Tango near the corner of Philmont & Bustleton in Philadelphia. Porn star Mary Carey was on the guest list. Kidd Chris appears to have a little karma kicking in. I wonder if CBS had the Kidd Chris dismissal papers wrapped up with a birthday card?

Post a CommentAre you serious? Do you live in Philly or any other large city? The NEGROS or COLOREDS are loud, swagger like they own this city, have basically ruined every decent area of our once nice city, they will steal the eyes outta your head if you aren't looking....and they do have PINK feet! I suggest if you do not live here...come here and take a walk through some of the HOODS and you decide if we have too many Porch Monkeys....better yet-take a few home with you... I hear they make great Lawn Jockeys. Do stick your nose where it don't belong.
It IS FUNNY!
here in Philadelphia...... there is no change in the way of life now as there was before he was fired. So basically you win a battle to reap no rewards. Very productive.
Ian? Thanks for the chuckle. Mattilda A. Maxx
Matt, just for the record, I may think you have difficulty tying your shoes, but I would not laugh at a railroad car full of you going to be exterminated, are you taking rhetoric lessons from the NRA again? There is no crisco in this hill, relax. I don't know if you ever leave the safety of your computer, but in the real uncensored world, jokes about jews are still being told..and they are still as funny as they were in 1940. How is your kid going to handle the first time he is made fun of? Because with a dad like you, he will be. You are going to try to take legal action against the bully and when that fails your son is going to take a jar full of peanut butter to the cafeteria because you told him that it peanut butter can kill.
The author of this article is a complete idiot. You found this song while researching racism on the internet? Sounds like a lovely afternoon activity, cracker, look into the context. If I don't see your children wearing helmets I am going to turn you into the authorities, what a self righteous moron.
it IS true... they are loud in movies. there is no denying that fact.
Sigh....
The Schwoogies song is not a problem, the black community do not like to be call negros, but that is what they are and nothing can change that, that's why this society is the way it is, the only thing that the black community do is steal, kill cops, they don't even like each other, they kill themselves, but is ok that 50 cents kill crackers in his songs but we can't do the same thing without being in trouble, the law should be apply to everybody, not only to the Schwoogies, if monkeys do not like the song don't listen it!
Sigh....
