Kid-Friendly Hotels and Lodges Near Seneca Falls

NOM
Seneca Falls has several Bed and Breakfasts that are historically rich and full of antiques, and probably not very much fun for kids. But Seneca Falls also has some kid friendly hotels that are worth visiting.

The first is the Kid friendly hotel standard, Holiday Inn. Holiday Inn is known as a kid friendly hotel because of their kids eat free policy, which is also available at the Seneca falls/Waterloo Holiday Inn for children under 12 when accompanied by an adult. Kids enjoy eating for free and so do their parents. Holiday Inn also has a pool and several package deals with various free offers for the Waterloo outlets, a bikers' package and free internet in the rooms.

A second kid friendly option is Mill Creek Cabins. They offer year round fully furnished cabins and they welcome the whole family - kids and pets too. They have two cabins with private lodging but with bed and breakfast amenities. Both of our cabins have two bedrooms and a full sized futon in the living room. Each cabin has a bath with a shower, a microwave and coffeemaker, a gas fireplace, air conditioner, TV and DVD player, and a phone. A breakfast of juices, homemade muffins, breads, and pastries is dropped off at the front porch doorstep of each cabin in the morning. Firewood is available free of charge, as well as some charcoal for cookouts.

They have ponds for fishing, nature walks, bird watching, biking and walking trails, and for the adults the wine trails are within ten minutes of Mill Creek. They are also near several local museums as well as restaurants and taverns. The cabins are not far from Waterloo Premium Outlets or Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge.

A deposit of $100 per night is required to secure the reservation and there are some pretty strict cancellation policies you should be familiar with before booking a reservation. Children from 4 to 12 years of age will be charged $25 per person, per night, plus tax. Children under 4 years of age are free. The maximum occupancy for each cabin is six people. For more information about this facility, and to see the cabins and a list of local things to do in Seneca Falls, visit their website.

A third option is found three miles from the center of town, the very beautiful John Morris Bed and Breakfast, which is semi-kid friendly as they welcome children 12 and over to stay. (They are considered kid friendly for the purpose of this list as several of the local Bed and Breakfast expressly does not welcome children.) A full breakfast is included with each stay, and small snacks are in the guest pantry during the day. Kids will likely enjoy the "Jetson Room", so named for the 1950's retro space theme look. There is a full size in ground swimming pool. This is a true bed and breakfast, filled with lovely antiques and fairly adult oriented, so there are not a lot of activities for kids to do, but the Inn itself is lovely and near many in town activities. If you wish to stay at a Bed and Breakfast with kids, this Inn will likely be your best option. Another Bed and Breakfast that welcomes children is the Peppermint Cottage in nearby; visit their website for more information. Most Bed and Breakfasts in the Seneca Falls area welcome children over 12 or 16, depending on each facilities policies.
