This museum puts much emphasis on hands on activities for children and adults of all ages. The museum is open on Wednesday's from 12:00pm to 7:00pm and Thursday's through Sunday's from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Admission to the museum is $5.00 a person, children under twelve months and adults over 65 are admitted free. The hands on activities inside the museum are a definite kid pleaser.
Central Park Zoo is a show stopper for children and adults of all ages! Central Park Zoo is open every day of the year so there is no chance of missing this favorite attraction. During the week the zoo's hours are 10:00am until 4:30 and on weekends 10:00 to 4:30 as well. The animals of the zoo will bring a huge smile to everyone's face! The five acre zoo is small but jammed packed with adventure. If you time your visit right you can even watch as the zoo employees feed the animals. The New York Aquarium, otherwise known as The Brooklyn Aquarium is a favorite for the young and old! More than 8,000 sea animals call the museum home! The staff of the museum is ready and waiting to explain exhibits and show you sea-life from around the world. The museum is located at Surf Ave. and West 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11224. The aquarium is opened every single day of the year! The hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm and on weekends from 10:00am until 7:00pm. Bring the whole family for a time they will never forget! Rates for adults are $13.00, children 3-12 $9.00, 65 and over $10.00 and group rates are $6.00 a person.
The Statue of Liberty is a must see while in New York City! An intricate part of the Unites States history, the kids will love taking the tour. Access to the monument is free with the purchase of a ferry ticket from Statue Cruises. Ticket from children 13 and over are $13.00, children 4-12 $5.00 and seniors $ 62 and over $10.00 per day. The hours of operation are 9:30am to 5:00pm but hours are adjusted seasonally so it is wise to check before visiting. Share with the family a little bit of history while on vacation.
