Jaycee Dugard, now 29 years old, was allegedly kidnapped by Phillip Garrido and Nancy Garrido when she was 11 years old. She was forced to live in a shed in the back yard that was hidden behind another back yard and the shed was locked from the outside. Jaycee lived in the sheds and tents in the back yard for the entire 18 years that she was in captivity. She was raped repeatedly And had two daughters. Garrido, the kidnapper, is the alleged father of both girls who is now 15 and 11 years old. Jaycee is only 29 years old which means she was only 14 when she had the first child.
The children have never been to school and never seen a doctor. The sheds they lived in may have been sound proof according to reports. Jaycee's girl's lived in the shed's all of their life with no contact to the outside world.
Garrido, a registered sex offender, wears a GPS bracelet and have regular contacts with his parole officer. He was recently paroled from Nevada State Prison before he kidnapped 11 year old Jaycee.
November 30, 2006 a neighbor discovered children living in sheds; in the hidden back yard, of Garrido's house. The neighbor called 911 and said there are children living in sheds in the back yard. Sheriff's deputies went to Garrido's house and spoke with him, however they did not go inside the house nor did they check out the back yard.
They spoke with Garrido and left. Seems like; they would know that this was the resident of a sex offender and should have checked out the complaint. The 911 caller said children were living in sheds in the back yard. The man was a registered sex offender, he wore a GPS bracelet and he had a parole officer. There should have been reasons enough to check the house and the back yard; since the neighbor made a complaint.
The vehicle that was described in the kidnapping was parked in Garrido's yard all this time.
On Monday, August 24, 2009 Garrido went to UC Berkeley Campus to inquire about a permit for a campus event that he claimed would "change the world" An appointment was made for Tuesday August 25, 2009, so, he left his name.
The campus police at UC Berkeley knew something just wasn't right. Before his Tuesday appointment, the Campus police checked out his name and found out that he was on federal parole for kidnapping and rape and was a registered sex offender.
Garrido showed up on Tuesday for his appointment; Jaycee's two daughters were with him and they called him dad. The campus police noticed that something wasn't right about the two girls. After Garrido left the campus one of the two police women called Garrido's parole officer and mentioned she was concerned about his two daughters. The parole officer said Garrido didn't have any daughters.
It was reported that Jaycee showed up at a northern California police station accompanied by her alleged kidnappers Phillip Garrido 58 and Nancy Garrido 55, who is believed to be his wife.
Later that evening Garrido's parole officer called the UC Berkeley police officers back and told them that Garrido had been arrested in connection with the Jaycee Dugard case. Phillip Garrido and Nancy Garrido face 29 counts, including kidnapping and rape and false imprisonment.
I hope with a lot of love and care and therapy that Jaycee and her two daughters will overcome this terrible ordeal. How can anyone do something so cruel to children? This couple needs to be put away where they can never hurt another innocent child.

Linda StCyr; I hadn't thought of it that way; that's exactly what they will be doing if they go to prison; living off our tax dollars.Even if they went to prison, I don't believe the other prisoners take too well to child molesters.
this couple needs to be put up on the death penalty for what they did. sick, cruel, vicious, they don't deserve to live off my tax dollars.
