On his birthday I did the cupcakes red white and blue because is birthday is in July, went to our party shop here and bought 6 of each color of red, white and blue beaded necklaces, a box of baggies, red white and blue pipe cleaners, erasers, red, white and blue pencils mini note pads, some plastic frogs, mini water guns,a bag of bubble gum and plastic rings. We then went on our computer made up some little business cards with my sons picture on it saying, "Hope to see you this summer at the park and maybe in class after summer vacation. Have a great summer! with his name and phone number. We put everything in the baggies tied it off with the pipe cleaner went to the store got enough balloon's for each kid in class tied the ribbon on the balloons onto the baggies of treats and it was so great to see the smiles on the kids faces and mostly on my sons when he handed them to each child.
It is great to make your child happy when it comes to school and friends. I mean come on now everyone wants their mom to be cool and this will put you in that chair (smile) create and have fun.
On valentines day instead of the plan old cards that kids get every year, My son and I took thin cardboard like poster board stuff used a punch and punched holes in the top of each one, took red and white ribbon and made necklaces, He took red paint and white paint and did each heart, then wrote words on each one for each class mate that had to do with valentines day and friendship, Bought some treat bags and filled them up also for the class. There are so many things that you can do kids love it all.
everything I have done has always been $20 or less for a whole class room. I'm a huge bargain and clearance shopper also. So moms stock up when you see a sale then create, create.
