Kids Crafts for Thanksgiving Fun

S. Morris
Having random fun and easy crafts for kids is a great way to expand their minds throughout the holidays. I think crafts for Thanksgiving is another great way for family to connect on the warm day!

Try These:

Painting Small Pumpkins

We grew a couple small pumpkins, which turned out perfect for each of our kids. This craft is a great way to be creative with food.

What you will need:

- Small pumpkins.

- Non Toxic, Fall colored paint.

- Paint brushes

- Newspaper

Let's get started:

Step 1. Lay out the newspaper on the kitchen floor( or outside if its a nice day).

Step 2. Set up the paint on plates( easier for painting).

Step 3. Have each child sit down and paint the pumpkin however they choose.

Step 4. Let dry.

Step 5. Have the children decorate the house with their pumpkin. Step back and enjoy.

Easy, fun, and creative. Crafts like this make each holiday fill with excitement.

Thanksgiving Place mats

As a child we did this craft. It was fun and we still have them to this day! I hope you and your family can enjoy this together.

What you will need:

- Construction paper.

- Crayons, glitter(Again, Fall colors), etc.

- Glue and scissors.

- Yarn.

- Self-laminating paper.

-Hole punch.

Lets Get Started:

Step 1. Set up all your craft supplies in easy reach.

Step 2. Have each child start by decorating their paper. Their family, Fall leaves and trees, etc.

Step 3. Help each child hole punch around the entire paper. About 1-2 inches apart.Help the weave it through each hole, then tie a knot.

Step 4. Let dry and set.

Step 5. Now help each child cover the whole place mat with the self- laminate.

Step 6. You can make the place mats on Thanksgiving and enjoy at dinner.

Everyone will have fun with this!

*All the craft items needed for these two crafts are at Walmart online or at your local store. Each will cost under $12.

* These crafts will be posted on a picture slideshow closer to Thanksgiving!
