A worker at The Ground Round in Levittown, Long Island, told me by phone, they have kids eat free deals on Wednesdays and Sundays.
IHOP. Many IHOP locations across Long Island offer kids eat free deals on certain days of the week, usually in the afternoon and early evening. But not all of the restaurants participate. For example, workers in Huntington Station said their restaurant does, but people at the Port Jefferson Station IHOP said they do not have kids eat free deals.
J & R's Steakhouse. According to their website, their Long Island locations include Calverton, Medford, Patchogue, Rocky Point and Stony Brook - where they offer kids eat free deals Sundays through Thursdays.
Moe's Southwest Grill. The restaurant has a few Long Island locations, including East Meadow, Greenvale, Oceanside and Garden City - where they offer kids eat free deals on Tuesday evenings. For each kids eat free deal, you have to buy an adult entrée of $4.99 or more.
Besides kids eat free meals, you can get some kids eat free treats if you join a restaurant's birthday club. Usually, you have to sign up in advance.
For example, at Baskin- Robbins, they have a birthday club. A person in their Plainview, Long Island, location explained to me that you can sign up here and the child gets a free scoop of ice cream on his or her birthday.
A Burger King worker in West Babylon told me they have a kids eat free deal that you can sign up for on their website.
California Pizza Kitchen will let kids ten and under get a free meal during their birthday month. You have to register on their website, here. According to the site, the restaurant's Long Island locations include: Garden City and Huntington Station.
At the Cold Stone Creamery, you can do the same thing. Their website says "We want to help you celebrate your birthday by giving you one FREE Creation!" Guess what? Adults can sign up for free ice cream, too! Their Long Island locations include: Long Beach, Patchogue, Garden City and Huntington.
Overall, there are plenty of places on Long Island where you can get kids eat free deals or birthday treats. The deals sometimes change - and can vary from restaurant to restaurant. A couple of Long Island restaurants that once had kids eat free deals, no longer do. The best idea is to call before you go.
