Balloons (as many as there is kids) A black marker Standard envelopes What I did for my daughter was just this.
Blow up the balloons but do not tie them, Write on the balloon with the marker You are Invited or Its a party , Put who it is for, The date time and location , let the air out ,stick in the envelope and mail out, When the parent gets the invite they blow up the balloon and see there is a party. It is fun for the kids and they can tie a string to it and hang in their room so they won forget.
Another one I have done Is the candy bar wrap invite this one was great
I bought enough candy bars like Hershey's because they are flat, enough for how many kids were invited
Went on my computer and typed up the invite with my sons picture on it, I printed them off , cut and wrapped around the candy bar
and closed it off with tape. If you don't want to print them , write on printer paper and use the ORIG. wrapper from the candy bar to size what you need. have your child hand them out in class.
When my daughter was 10 I did the whole little girl dollar store coin purse invites
I bought 10 little girlie looking coin purses and in them I stuck a card the size of a business card in them , on the card was the party info a mini invite , the girls just loved it.
A cool one for the teen is the Music CD invites this was rocks as my older son said, Everyone had downloaded music so if you burn music to CD go buy some of the CD R's with the color slim sleeve cases, have your teen pix the music his or her friends would like, make what ever amount of Cd's you need for friends that will come, make a card as big as the CD case but make it as in Invite have your teen had out to their friends or write the invite on the CD and they wont forget , they will see it every time they listen to the CD up until the party.
Your child should have the best and the fun in there life is what matters as being mom and dad, give it a try , have fun and always smile
Check out my party basket Ideas from my business part of my life , Hee hee
