Kids TV Shows: Zoey 101

Zoey 101 is a sitcom on Nickelodeon that is geared towards younger audiences. Each episode fills a 30 minute block. The first episode of Zoey 101 aired on January 9, 2005. Dan Schneider is the creator and executive producer of the show. The show has continued to grow popularity over the past two seasons and is currently entering its third season. Zoey 101 is currently one of the most frequently viewed shows in the United States by children under the age of 14.

The main character of Zoey 101 is played by Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of pop singer Britney Spears. She is one of the first girls to attend a formerly all boys school in California, Pacific Coast Academy. The show focuses on the struggles and lessons that the boys and girls have together and against each other in a comical light.

The characters in Zoey 101 who bring all of the humor together are:

Zoey Brooks - Zoey Brooks is a very popular girl at school and is liked by all of the guys. She is constantly coming up with ideas to solve the problems the students have run themselves into.

Dustin Brooks - Dustin Brooks is Zoey's younger brother who also goes to school at PCA. He is considered to be smart and very weird, which lead to many strange situations.

Chase Matthews - Chase Matthews is one of the main characters in the show made to produce comedy. He has an undying love for Zoey, but he never is able to tell her. He also has a lot of crazy ideas for the students to do.

Nicole Bristow - Nicole is one of Zoey's best friends. Zoey drags Nicole into all of her attempts at fixing troubled situations.

Dana Cruz - She was Zoey's roommate. She was a bully and a slob. Her character was removed from the show after the first season because she looked much older than the other characters.

Lola Martinez - She is Zoey's current roommate and one of Zoey's best friends. At first, she seems weird, but she ends up fitting in well with the other characters once her true self comes out.

Michael Barret - Michael is best friends with Chase. He often gets dragged into the situations that Chase creates.

Logan Reese - He is best friends with Michael and Chase. He also finds himself in all of their situations. He is the cocky character on the show.

Quinn Pensky - Quinn is not exactly a friend of the group so much as an extra character. Instead of hanging out with the group, she is constantly trying to complete experiments that always fail.
