Kila Stethoscope - Cheap, but Definitely Worth an A+ Grade

Ambriel Maji
While in nursing school I struggled with a no name stethoscope that the school I attended had us buy. We were to listen to crackles, wheezes, and any other abnormal breath sounds we picked up. Only one major flaw to this, we couldn't hear anything out of these cheap no name stethoscopes. This can create a major problem when you're trying to diagnose your client's problems, or better yet when you're trying to properly learn and identify something you have never heard before.

There is nothing worse sitting around your clinical instructor with their expensive stethoscope listening to your client first, then as you shake, go up to your client next, slowly take out your ineffective stethoscope listen, nothing, you smile and give a clear bill of health. Your clinical instructor looks at you in horror and like you have potatoes growing in your ear and asks you to listen again. Try as you might you still feel your asthmatic, wheezing, blue in the face client is perfectly fine because your stethoscope couldn't pick up these sounds that would probably be audible if you put your bare ear to the client's chest.

I was left with the choice to either fail out the entire respiratory part or finally throw away this stethoscope and to purchase another. I decided to purchase another stethoscope, being a single parent putting myself through nursing school, the prestigious Littmann cardiology III was out of the question. I mean what nursing student has an extra 150.00+ sitting around to spend on a stethoscope especially after buying the school's 50.00 useless stethoscope. I decided after much research I would be purchasing the Kila Cardiology Dual Head Stethoscope, after much research I was told it was just as good if not the same as the Littmann. Once I put it up against my friend who is a pediatrician nurse you could not tell the difference between the two. Even she admitted she could hear the same and now is a dedicated Kila user.

Kila offers, specialist single head, high performance dual head, regular performance dual head, tunable dual head, adult and pediatric dual head stethoscopes. As a high performance dual head, pediatric and regular performance dual head owner I can contest to the fact these stethoscopes are top notch you will soon be hearing accurate lung sounds.

The normal price for a Kila stethoscope is roughly 65.00 with shipping, if your school has a opt out program when purchasing the school suggested stethoscope and a Kila is in your budget you may want to forgo the schools stethoscope and buy a quality Kila stethoscope.

The most popular stethoscope that Kila offers is there dual head stethoscope in the diaphragm mode, you will hear high frequency hear sounds and in bell mode you will hear lower frequency lung sounds. The design of the Kila stethoscope is comfortable offering you clear, concessive, loud sounds, the chest piece is made from stainless steel, the tubing is high quality thick internal double tubing, with high quality angled ear pieces that are made of soft pliable materials.

Regardless if you're a school student or a seasoned pro in your profession Kila stethoscopes are definitely a stethoscope you do not want to pass by.
