Possible Items Kept by the Killer

The killer may have kept Somer's book bag and lunch box according to America's Most Wanted. These items were not found with her body. The book bag is pink with black straps. The lunch box is pink with a pig's face on the top of the box. If you have seen these items in anyone's home, please call the police or America's Most Wanted at: 1-800-Crime-TV.

Body Found in Landfill

Be Alert: Report Suspicious Behavior

Sheriff Rick Beseler told America's Most Wanted that people should report individuals who have changed their behavior. Let the police know if someone has: "Left the area unexpectedly, missed work, particularly on the day of the crime, has unexplained injuries on the day of the crime, unnatural interest in the crime investigation, increase in nervousness, shaving of hair or growing moustache or beard, no longer operating a work vehicle."

Police have indicated that there are about 90 known sex offenders living within a three-mile radius of Somer Thompson's home in Orange Park, Florida.

John Walsh, of America's Most Wanted TV show, told ABC there was a "sting of four child disappearances in the Jacksonville area about 20 years ago that have never been solved... I would hate to think this is a serial child killer... It's not that unusual for such a predator to come out of retirement."

A killer is on the loose in Orange Park, Florida. The community must be on edge as this crime remains unsolved more than a month after Somer Thompson disappeared on her one-mile walk home from school.

Again, if you have any information about this crime, no matter how small the detail, call the Clay County police at 877-227-6911.
