There has been an inadvertent leak of Kim Kardashian cellulite pictures from a Kim Kardashian Complex Magazine photo shoot and suddenly wagging tongues decry the practice of airbrushing. Others wonder about cellulite and its removal, specifically with VelaShape.

Kim Kardashian Cellulite Pictures - Tempest in a Teapot?

Kim Kardashian has cellulite. Is this a reason to stop the presses? According to the Hollywood Gossip site, the Kim Kardashian Complex photo is getting her criticized for some weight gain, which is closely associated with her cellulite pictures.

These photos - considered embarrassing by Hollywood standards - have given rise to a response from the celebutante; on her blog she comments on the Kim Kardashian untouched photo "scandal" by pointing out that anyone with a few well placed curves has some cellulite and receives friendly airbrushing.

Kim Kardashian Cellulite Sparks Questions on Cellulite Formation

Kim Kardashian's untouched photo shows that even the beautiful people fall victim to the ravages of skin conditions the common folks suffer from. Cellulite itself is associated with the activity of estrogen -- a hormone that enables the formation of cellulite -- and also the makeup of women's fat cells that result in the classic orange peel look.

It is interesting to note that men also have a chance of developing cellulite, but because of the obvious lack of estrogen and different composition of men's fat cells, their odds of having visible cellulite is greatly decreased. Diet and exercise are considered the surefire ways of somewhat inhibiting the formation of cellulite and also helping with some of its reversal.

Kim Kardashian Cellulite to be attacked with VelaShape

The Insider posts about Kim Kardashian's cellulite pictures and the steps the celeb will take to eradicate the unsightly dimples on her thighs. She has tried one session of VelaShape treatments and sure enough, the company's website boasts of their relationship with the Kardashians, namely Khloe.

This cellulite treatment is a mix of massage, infrared light, and radio frequency therapy in an effort to make the fat cells go away and smooth the skin. WebMD has weighed in on these kinds of treatments, and it is interesting to note that radio frequency waves have shown some promise in tightening the skin and removing the dimples.

The price tag of $2,000 offers roughly 21 months of lessened cellulite appearance until the effect wears off. Laser light and mechanical massages are also possible, and for $125-175 there is the possibility of liquefying some fat cells and lessening the cellulite for about a year or two. The bad news is that at least about four treatments are needed.

Of course, if your recession budget prohibits these treatments, you could just go the celeb route and simply have your cellulite airbrushed away.
