Kim Kardashian: The Start of a New Type of Role Model?

Bee
After her exploit on the "homemade" screen, Kim Kardashian has become a role-model, most recently to Montana Fishburne. Is this going to be the start of a new type of role model? After all, Kim Kardashian wasn't the first to star in a pornographic film. If need be, we can scroll back to the rumored video taped affair of John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe.

Of course, Montana Fishburne was the first one of these "aspiring celebrities" to actually WANT to do this for the porn, and not simply to get famous in anything other than porn; then again, maybe that's the pliable solution here to get popular mainstream. Honesty instead of pretending someone stole your tape: Paris, Kendra, and Kim-- I'm talking to you ladies.

Of course Kim is seen as the first to actually become famous from this type of tape. Since Paris Hilton was born in a rich family and wasn't mainstream famous until her sex tape, I'm not sure why Kim is the main one considered for this.

Of course Montana mentioned that she saw Kim get famous from her tape, and maybe it wasn't as big for Paris; yet with both women getting famous from a sex tape, having their own reality shows, and constantly being overran by paparazzi now, what is the main difference that targets Kim instead of Paris? Instead of Pamela, Kendra, or even male stars: Fred Durst, Colin Ferrall, and even rapper Ray J being the co-star of Kim Kardashian's sex tape.

I suppose people look at Kim Kardashian more (besides the comment from Chippy D) as a role model because of her business mentality. Instead of being a celebrity that was born into a rich famous and simply parties her nights away; Kim has meaningful, and mostly long term relationships, she is quite the business woman thanks to her mother Kris, who handles a lot of finances for the Kardashians, and on top of that, Kim still has work (unlike a certain heiress we all know.)

The way that things are going, this COULD possibly lead to more young girls turning to porn so they can break into mainstream, but it doesn't quite work like that. These girls were already part of famous families, and didn't quite need the sex tapes for anything more but a boost in their own celebrity. Granted that many, many more people knew about Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian after the realize of their tapes, but a young girl in Maine has a much smaller chance of breaking into mainstream Hollywood by producing a sex tape of their own.

When you look at the facts, Montana had made a pornographic film before. The reason no one has heard of it? She neglected to add her famous father's last name and simply went by "Chippy D". This is something most people have not even heard about; Yet it supports the fact, even more, that making a sex tape yourself is not going to get you the next role in the top grossing movie of the year. It probably won't get you a reality show and you're not going to be followed by the paparazzi.

So before girls go out and start making random sex tapes, they should probably realize that this will not change the level of your celebrity. Hard work and practice (not of the sexual nature) has a better chance of breaking you into mainstream.

  • Sex tapes are probably not the answer to skyrocket most people into a celebrity.
  • Montana made a pornographic film before, but neglected to use her father's famous last name.
  • Kim Kardashian still has an uprising career, instead of constant partying like Paris Hilton.
Sex tapes work for people who are part of a famous family, but will rarely work to turn an ordinary person into a celebrity, especially an A-List mainstream celebrity.
