Kim Kardashian Took Wedding Vows to Draw Viewers

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are calling it quits, and most reports seem to be leaning towards the whole $10 million wedding spectacular being nothing more than a hoax. A recent report on TMZ about why the couple broke up certainly makes one believe that the vows Kim took did not have any real value to her.

According to an article on TMZ, 31 October 2011, the reason for the break up is over where the couple would live. Interestingly, it sounds like Kris Humphries was surprised about Kim's divorce filing. Another snippet on TMZ later on the same date quotes Kris saying, "I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents." That report goes on to quote Kris admitting that he is devastated, yet willing to work on the marriage.

If in fact Kardashian filed for a divorce 72 days into the marriage because of where the couple would live it certainly says a lot about her true character, and how seriously Kim takes wedding vows. Another point worth mentioning is how "excited" Kim Kardashian was about her spike in viewers, read her blog post on 11 October 2011 titled "My Wedding Special Breaks E! Records." Was the wedding just a publicity stunt? Scroll down on that blog page and you will find another interesting post dated 5 October 2011 where Kim writes about her and Kris going on the Ellen DeGeneres show and doing a fake wedding and renewing their vows for the audience. Obviously, this woman can not get enough attention.

Although, everyone has the right to spend their money any way they choose, it is a shame when a celebrity worth millions throws money out the window. Yes, in my opinion, spending $10 million on a wedding and filing for divorce 72 days later is throwing money away. Consider all the good that could have been done. Think about all the hungry and homeless children that amount of money could have helped.

Kris needs to move on with his life and career, although one can respect his feelings about his vows and the desire to work on the marriage it seems obvious that Kim Kardashian has made up her mind. This woman did not even have the decency or courtesy to tell Kris that she was filing for divorce, sorry buddy but you need to wake up. Do you really want a wife who treats you like this? On the other hand, there are rumors floating around suggesting that everything about this wedding, divorce and Kris's feelings are "scripted."

Three things Kim Kardashian needs to consider, one is her influence on her fans because some are very young. Secondly, the meaning of marriage and wedding vows. Finally, if Kim wants to waste money or does not value it because she is blessed with plenty she should consider using it to do some good in the world. Feed a hungry child, help a worthy cause, and Kim use your celebrity status to make a difference. This whole wedding and divorce mess is disgusting. Sorry, this is my opinion.
