For those that don't know, Air Marshal's identities are supposed to be anonymous. This is part of the increased security after various terrorist attacks and attempted terrorist attacks that happened. If terrorist knew who on board was an Air Marshal, their attacks could be much easier.
Kim Kardashian either a) didn't know that the Air Marshal was supposed to be a secret, b) knew, but didn't care or c) believed that Jim was an Air Marshal when, in fact, he was just one of the million plus men who wants to impress Kim K.
Even though Kardashian has a loyal Twitter following, many of her fans were not pleased with her tweets, as they could have compromised the safety of the flight she was on.
Some fans Tweeted the following information:
if he exposed to you that he WAS an air marshall...I would say that was priviledged info that only the crew was suppose[d] to know
Doubt he really was an Air Marshall, she was probably just dumb enough to believe him
lmao poor Jim the air marshall is going to get fired thanks to you hahahaha
Of course, we all know that Kim wasn't trying to get anyone in trouble or get into trouble herself. She was likely trying to get some attention from her Twitter followers.
And she did get attention.
This isn't the first time that the socialite's Twittering has got her into trouble. In December, she was sued for libel over statements she made via Twitter about a Cookie diet. The whole situation is messy, and started when Kim sent a cease and desist letter to the cookie maker asking him to not make it sound as if she were endorsing his product.
The cookie maker fired back, claiming that Kim K. made slanderous comments on Twitter, calling his cookie diet "unhealthy", and that she has a commercial motive to do so because of her relationship with QuickTrim.
All this Twitter drama would be enough for me to sign off from the Web site forever. While reading some Tweets is a lot of fun, Twittering takes up a lot of energy and time. Hopefully, Kim Kardashian doesn't get in to too much trouble for outing the Air Marshal (if he was really an Air Marshal) on her flight.
