A party for family one night.
Kim's Pizza a wonderful sight.
With garlic so swell,
It's taste and it's smell,
Did make us all smile with delight.
His ovens full time were kept hot.
Crisp crusts with some sausage on top.
One after another,
With cheese did he smother,
For diets they definitely were not.
The dining room table was covered,
With tasty choice things one another.
Fruit salad so large,
Sweet pies to engarde.
My stomach said "Please just don't bother".
Soon after which we were all sated.
Played cards at the table unrated.
A game we would play,
Betting quarters each way,
Till finally one winner was slated.
My brother Frank head of this clan,
Who's children, grandchildren they ran,
All through the house.
Then chased out the mouse.
Poor cat. She laid on the Divan.
Young nephews and nieces all there.
So full of life's spirit and air.
Did talk of such things,
Their good life would bring,
Of stories and plans all to share.
So quickly the night came to end.
With everyone planning to spend,
Next day all alone,
Each family at home.
For me will be memories no end.
