We Celebrate Your Graduation Day
one two three to calculus
afternoon naps to all night study
the first steps of your journey
Classmates change from year to year
some return while others leave
a random test a book report
another step toward your success
With head held high you walk the line
caps and gowns pass one by one
a standing crowd of tearful faces
a next step toward your future
Remember well the things you've learned
that moved you through your education
we're proud of your accomplishments
a brave step toward your next destination
Congratulations on a job well done
how proud we are of your hard work
you finished with such humble grace
our first to reach this honored place

Very nice.....those years fly by so fast.
While working at the university one of my responsibilties was organizing and overseeing the colleges May graduation ceremony. Watching our students receive their hard earned degree was emotional. I think I cried more than the parents!
Tears of joy were shed heavily when my last son graduated from high school. Now two are in college and I am trying to get the third one in college while I have a chance to help them!
Life is marked by a series of rites of passage, graduations important amongst them.... even for out youngest ones! Well done.
