The Kindle e-reader is listed as the best choice for most users according to ConsumerReports. Another source states that digital books are selling faster than paperback books for the first time in history.
The Kindle 3 is Amazon's best selling product. Kindle also has the advantage of being able to access the Amazon library which offers more than 8000,000 books and magazines and news papers. Of course with speed being most important, all these publications can be downloaded in less than one minute.
Kindle has the best non-glare screen design of any other handheld computer screen and is the fastest at refreshing pages that other models. The Kindle 3 is one of the cheapest on the market, selling at $139 for the six inch screen.
The Kindle DX sells for $329 with a 10-inch screen and offers the same features as the Kindle 3 including the e-Ink screen and a 3,500 book memory making it excellent for reading textbooks and newspapers. However, the smaller Kindle is lighter weight and lower priced than the DX, making it most popular for most users.
Consumer Reports rates the Kindle as the best in performance. The Nook A4, also rated good in performance and is considered one of the faster models at turning pages, although it is still slower than the Kindle.
Sony readers A2 and A3 performed well in tests for versatility since they are capable of being used as digital notepads of text or drawings, however, the touch screens are not as crisp as their competitors.

Post a CommentYes, I have heard a lot of nice things about the Kindle.
I always enjoy your writings very much, Judy!!! Thank you!!
I loved your article on Prebiotics but could not comment since it was a Health article. This is a great review Judy.
Judy - I have read several of your articles, but there is no comment section to post on several of them. This is a glitch that tech is working on, though! I still like books, but may consider the alternative when, as Charlotte points out, the price comes down!
Nice review, Judy.
Michael Segers has been trying to get me to give up "dead wood" books for months now. This is a good review of the Kindle but I still fall back on the love of holding a page-turner in my hands :) cheers
Judy this is such good information to know. I was just make an inquiry about it. Now I have the answers. Great job.
