The current Amazon Kindle with Special Offers Price is $114.00 for $25 less than the regular Kindle you will from time to time get special advertising offers displayed on the home page of your Kindle and your screen saver.
This Kindle will do everything the original Kindle 3 can do, but for a lower cost you will see some advertisements. There are only four special offers shown on the Kindle at once. The special offers have never interrupted my reading of a book or surfing the web.
Kindle with Special Offers
Many people across the Internet on different forums were badmouthing the Kindle with ads when it came out. Most said that they would rather pay the extra money so that they would not have to see the ads. Now that the Kindle with Special Offers has been around for a little while those same naysayers are changing their tune. Some people who originally bad-mouthed the ads are now jealous that they cannot get those special offers on their regular full price Kindle book readers.
After owning my Kindle with Special Offers for over a month, I can say that I am glad I went for the cheaper Kindle with ads. The ads in no way interfere with me reading any of my downloaded books. I even read that you can hack the screen saver to a blank page so that the ads would only be on the home page. If you did not want to jailbreak your Kindle you could just completely turn off the Kindle and you would not have to see the ad, but that uses more battery than leaving the screen saver on. For me though, I want to be able to see the special offers that have been made available for me. I have already taken advantage of three of the special offers.

Problems I have found with my Kindle are problems that I have with the reader, not with any of the Special Offers.
#1. Sometimes while reading in bed my hands will go numb, never had that problem with a paper book.
#2. I need a book light for the Kindle. It is just like a regular book with no backlight, which is what makes it easy on your eyes, but hard to read in low light.
#3. I am spending too much money on Amazon Kindle books! So I have made it my mission to search out all the free books for my Kindle that I can find so I can keep reading but for less cost. I have even started my own blog to share my freebie book finds with others. So if you need to spend less on Kindle books check out my blog for some good reads (something for everyone).
