The instructions for muscle testing are quite simple. First, have the test subject stand with both arms at his side. Ask the subject to raise one arm so that it is parrallel to the floor. Secondly, stand in front of you subject and place your hand on the shoulder that is not raised. Place your other hand on the subjects exteded forearm. Next, tell the subject to resist when you try to push his arm down. When you push quickly and evenly you can get a feel for the bounce in the arm.
You can then begin to ask questions and true statements will create more of a resistance while false statements will cause him to go weak. To start off with you could begin with something obvious like saying "Your name is Sally" and then the muscle would go weak. And then "Your name is Doug" and then the muscle would resist.
Another technique for muscle testing is to hold items to your chest and see which items cause a weak or strong response. According to Hawkins, nearly all classical music and even classic rock n roll from the 1970s cause a strong response. Conversely, much of the heavy metal music introduced in the 80s causes the test subject to go weak. Try this method out on your own music collection and see what you discover.
You can begin to see there are numerous applications for muscle testing with regard to your own health. You could test a number of different sugars, raw, artificial sweetners, stevia, Splenda etc and see which test most positive for your body. Ideally, limitting sugar in your diet is the best alternative but if you are going to eat sugar, it would be worth finding out which one is best absorbed by your body. A simple way to test is to get packets of each one and hold them to your chest and ask "This product is good for me?" or whatever you feel comfortable saying. To make it even more interesting, you can seal the packets in an envelope and mark each one option 1, 2, 3 and see what the results reveal. They may surprise you.
Muscle testing also works by holding vitamins, creams and other products to your chest. You can ask if this product is an effective remedy for your body. By becoming more familiar with muscle testing, you can open up a whole new set of information and let your body help your mind find the answers you desire.
