King Cobra Speed LD F Fairway Woods

With the new success of the King Cobra Driver line, naturally they would offer a fairway wood. Most companies have been offering only a couple of fairway woods in their lineup and expect these to fit a wide range of golfers by simply changing the length and shaft flex. Cobra Golf has come out with 4 models all for different types of golfers while still having multiple shaft options, shaft flex options, and grip options and Cobra Golf should have a fairway wood to help your game. Just like the rest of their products, they are in it to keep everyone from Pro to 30 handicapper happy, and they are doing a great job at it so far! I can't wait for their 2008 products to hit the shelves!

The King Cobra Speed LD F Fairway Woods are designed with the mid handicap golfer in mind. It is "speed tuned" and designed for a player who typically swings the club head fairly hard. The F model is also the largest model of fairway woods from Cobra Golf and is designed for maximum forgiveness and trajectory. The face is also very shallow to further aid in getting the ball up into the air for the average golfer. The F series features not only a very large, hot face, but it is very deep head which allows the designers to push the weight back further and lower from the face for a very high and very forgiving trajectory. The Nippon Steel or Aldila shaft options are perfect for the average player and feature a fairly soft tip to further enhance the trajectory of these woods.

When I first set this fairway wood down it was a little bulky to me. I could see the face was shallow, but with how big the head itself is, it was a little turn off for me. I got about 3 balls into my test when I forgot all about the size! This club simply launches rockets down the range with a nice high trajectory. I had a few others around me give it a try and they said they were hitting it longer than their driver! I hit 3 balls over 250 yards off the deck with this club and that is just over 20 yards further than I would hit my normal 3 wood! I was able to shape the club wherever I wanted to with it and it was very long and forgiving no matter where on the face I hit it!

If you need a hot, long, forgiving fairway wood I would suggest the King Cobra Speed LD F Fairway Woods! Stay tuned for more reviews!
