King Cobra Transition S Iron Review

MikeBabjak
While I have wrote a few articles on Cobra golf recently, the one thing that I have been seeing in their new product lines are that they are making something for everyone. They have drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids for not only the very best players, but for those players who need a little more help with their game than others. They plan to keep with this tradition in 2008 and that not only gives them a very good product line, but one that every golfer can take a look at and find something that fits his or her game.

The Kin Cobra Transition S Hybrid irons are irons designed for the mid to high handicap player. They feature a mix of hybrids and traditional irons all designed to hit the ball high and straight. They start out with offering sets eliminating the 3 iron as most golfers weather they are hitting a hybrid or not, struggle with the longer clubs. They instead sell these sets in 4-SW and have 3 flexes for Men, Women and Seniors. These irons are engineered to keep a consistent trajectory and distance gap from club to club which will help to take the guess work out of what the ball is going to do when you make your swing.

I'll be open and honest. These clubs are UGLY!! I mean, they are so bulky I am surprised I could look down long enough to swing the club! That said, they do exactly what they are designed to do and they do it well. I was able to hit some very high, very long, and very soft landing shots with this set of irons and the gap between each iron was around 13 yards. They were easy to hit when I laid off them a bit too and I found no problem hitting them out of the rough, or the sand. They simply make contact with the ball, and the ball shoots a mile in the air! Most golfers will gain a lot of distance this way as most amatures with slower swing speeds struggle to get enough carry out of the shot to get any real distance.

If there are golfers out there looking for a very forgiving set that will help get more carry into their game, I would suggest this set! I will be reviewing a new iron from Cobra soon for those who do not like the hybrid look in their irons. The new Cobra UFI Irons! Stay Tuned!
