Kevin James, best known for his starring role in the daytime comedy show, King of Queens and his wife, model Steffiana De La Cruz, are having another child. Their second child, a daughter, is expected this summer. The couple already has a daughter named Sienna-Marie who was born on September 30th, 2005.
James, 41, says "We're very excited," while he celebrates the end of the 9th season of his sitcom. Kevin has been the star of his popular sitcom on CBS for 9 seasons now and the show continues to gain fans.
James said, "It's another girl. Steffiana's due July 1st. I just love being a dad and spending time with my wife and child, and now we're having another girl. It's incredible."
James and his wife were married in June 2004 at a Catholic church in Orange County, California. Guests included Clint Eastwood, Ray Romano and 180 other friends and family.
It's interesting how Kevin James role on King of Queens began. James character in King of Queens, Doug Heffernan, was first seen on Ray Romano's Everybody Loves Raymond. He enjoyed a recurring role on Romano's show until it was decided that he would have his own show.
With the success of his show James says, "I'm just looking forward to doing a little drinking and a little napping. And also it's going to allow me to work on my golf game. I'm hoping to kick Ray Romano's ass on the golf course. Can I say that?"
What does James have in the works? He says, "I have the upcoming film with Adam Sandler, called, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, so we'll see how it goes."
Kevin James (born Kevin George Knipfing on April 26, 1965 in Mineola, New York) is an American comedian and actor.
James grew up in Stony Brook, New York with two siblings, Gary and Leslie Knipfing. James attended the State University of New York at Cortland. He majored in sports management and played football for three years.
James started his career as a standup comedian. He gained the majority of his early experience doing standup gigs wherever he could. He became more popular from appearances on Star Search and The Tonight Show. James was even ranked number 89 on the list of Comedy Central's top 100 greatest stand-ups of all time.
James is a close friend of Ray Romano and guest stared on his show several times before being cast in his own show. James received an Emmy nomination for his role as Doug Heffernan on King of Queens.
