Kings Island is located at 6300 Kings Island Drive in Kings Island, Ohio. The park is divided into different themed lands. The lands are Action Zone, Oktoberfest, International Street, Coney Mall, Rivertown, Planet Snoopy, and Boomerang Bay.
International Street and Oktoberfest are small. They could be put together to make one land. International Street only has the Eiffel Tower at the entrance to the park, the Grand Carousel, and a popular new interactive dark ride where you shoot ghosts. Oktoberfest only has Viking Fury and a small train.
The park has lots of your standard theme park rides like a water rapids ride, bumper cars, scrambler and trains. Boomerang Bay is unique for a theme park because it is a miniature water park. Boomerang Bay features rides like a racing water slide, a water fortress with lots of water play elements and water canons, a FlowRider, wave pool, and lots of slides.
One thing that Kings Island is known for is having a great kids area. Planet Snoopy is the parks kids area. Planet Snoopy has all your favorite kids rides themed to the Snoopy comic strip characters. Planet Snoopy is one of the biggest and best kid lands in any park.
One other thing that Kings Island is known for is its roller coasters. The Racer is a popular older racing coaster. There are plenty of typical roller coasters at Kings Island but they also have a couple stand out roller coasters. The most famous of the roller coasters are The Beast and Son of Beast. The Beast is often considered one of the top 10 roller coasters in the world and considered by most to be the best wooden coaster. When it opened it held all the major records and still is the longest roller coaster in the US and the longest wooden coaster in the world. It is considered to be a great all around coaster offering a little bit of everything and a great overall ride. The ride is so long it even has two chain lifts. The Son of Beast was made to match The Beast. The Son of Beast had been the only wooden looping roller coaster but the loop was removed after and accident that did not involve the loop. Son of Beast is the only other wooden roller coaster that can make any top 10 list of best roller coasters. Son of Beast is the worlds tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster. It is not the longest wooden roller coaster because they let its father The Beast keep that record.
Whether you have little kids or enjoy thrills you will love Kings Island. Kings Island is a great theme park you should visit if you get the chance.
