Kinoki Foot Pads: My Experiment with These Foot Pads

You Never Know Until You Try

Dee
I come from a long line of women who believe in "wives tales." I remember when we were kids my Mom used to cut a potato in half, apply it to the soles of our feet, and put a stocking on to hold it in place. The point? To suck out our fevers. In the morning the potato would be black, and fever would be gone. She buttered our burns, and used a butter knife to ease our bee stings, by placing the cold steel on the sting.

So when my daughter anxiously rushed to my house to tell me about these foot pads that detox your body while you sleep, I just had to find out more about this. I goggled Kinoki Foot Pads and up came a long list of sites.

My dogs wear magnetic collars, and we put Dr. Somebody's arthritis spray in their water to keep their joints from getting arthritis. I wore those little magnetic pinkie rings for a month, so this was right up my alley.

After reading up on these miraculous foot pads I decided to purchase a two week supply and try them out myself. I waited for nearly four weeks and then they arrived. I wondered what took so long, where did they come from Japan? No, they were sent from New Jersey. Not too far from where I live, Massachusetts. Must be so back ordered that it took that long. They were packaged in envelope like pouches with clover leaves decorating the package. "Are they trying to tell me something"? I thought.

I looked at the ingredients in the pads, and found that bamboo vinegar was one of the main ingredients. I found a great site that explained what bamboo vinegar was. They state that heated bamboo turns into a charcoal. The liquid from this process is known as bamboo vinegar and is used "medicinally to treat eczema, atopic dermatitis, and other skin diseases". They state that this ingredient has gained popularity because of it's use in "sap sheets".

Anyhow the first day I decided to put one on during the day, after all if it can detox at night, why not during the day? I left it on for about 8 hours and then removed it. Sure enough it turned black and hard. Reminded me of the black potato my Mom used.

I started to wonder if it was just the heat that turned the pad black, so I popped one in the microwave, and sure enough after 30 seconds the pad was turning dark and hard. My gosh, it was detoxing my microwave.

The following night I placed one on the opposite foot, and left it on longer than the others. When I removed it, it was very dark, and gooey.

The whole time I am not feeling any better, or at least I don't notice a difference in my health. I did oversleep the other day but I don't account that to the pads. Each day, just as they predicted the pad was turning less black and less gooey. It's supposed to be because there are less toxins in my body.

So to conclude my experiment, yes the pads turned black, decreasing in color as the days went by. No, I don't feel any difference. But if it really sucked out all the toxins from my body, then that's a good thing. If it didn't then it was interesting to say the least.

So here I sit waiting for my pyschic headband to arrive, and just think after 3 days of wearing it, I'll be able to read your mind!
