Fistulas - This is simply an abnormal passage between two internal organs or from an organ to the surface of the body. Fistula is usually designated according to the organs with which it communicates. There are several different fistulas; such as, arteriovenous, branchial, Eck, internal, urachal.

Gonorrhea - A common contagious disease transmitted through sexual intercourse, leading to painful urination, and a purulent discharge.

Jaundice - This disease is also called, icterus. You know you have it if every part of your body turns yellow. You really don't want me to get into all of the symptoms and describe this terrible disease in detail.

Leukemia - This is a disease marked by the appearance of great numbers of immature and abnormal white blood cells in the bone marrow. Leukemia is often found in the spleen and liver. There are several kinds of leukemia, including aleukemic leukemia, basophilic leukemia, and leukemia cutis.

Leucorrhea - This is one of those afflictions of the vagina that the ladies probably wouldn't want me to talk about. But, those ladies who don't know what it is should know. Leucorrhea is when you have a white or yellowish pus and mucus-filled discharge from your vagina.

Liver conditions - The liver is a multi-purpose and extremely helpful organ, but it can be host to a number of diseases and disorders; such as, Hepatitis or inflammation of the liver, Cirrhosis or the formation of fibrous tissue inside the liver, Gilbert's syndrome or the genetic disorder of the bilirubin metabolism, and Glycogen storage disease II which leads to progressive muscle weakness.

Lungs - The pair-shaped organs in your chest are a necessity for breathing, but they can be host to any number of deficiencies and diseases. You can get black lung or coal miner's, you can get lung cancer, a rheumatoid in your lung, fluid in a lung (pulmonary edema), and lungs marked by honeycomb-shaped cysts.

Lupus - Any idea what it is? Don't feel bad, neither did I until I researched it. It's an autoimmune disease that may cause debilitation. It can also lead to death. Also known as systemic lupus erythematosis or SLE can attack any part of the body, especially the heart, joints, liver, nervous system, and kidneys.

Nephritis - Nephritis is simply an inflammation of your kidney, caused by any number of things, including infections.

Osteomyletis - An infection of the bones, commonly caused by tuberculosis.
