Pros
The KitchenAid KFP740CR food processor is a well built machine. It looks sturdy and feels heavy (which is a good thing). The rubbery base keeps this machine in position while working so you feel safe leaving it on the countertop.
Even when under heavy load this food processor is amazingly quiet. All it does is humming. This is a huge plus because when you use it in early morning it won't wake up the whole house. Whether you're making dips, salsa, pesto, fries, apple crisp or pizza dough this food processor can do the job well without any fuss.
A 9-cup food processor is big enough when you're preparing a meal for six but when you need to make smaller servings there's an included mini bowl that is right for the job. You just need to insert the smaller bowl into the bigger one and start processing. Both the big and small bowls feel strong and durable. They also do not stain or trap food smell or taste. Everything you process in it will retain its original taste without any mix from any previous food items.
Cleaning is a snap for this food processor. It's dishwasher safe so you can just put the lid and bowl into the dishwasher. As for the blades I must suggest that you wash them by hand using warm water and a little dish soap to maintain their sharpness for years to come. Be very careful when washing them because they are extremely sharp.
Cons
Even though it's a 9-cup food processor you can only add about an inch of liquid in the bowl which can be irritating when you're making soups.
Conclusion
The KitchenAid KFP740CR food processor is a well built, sleek-looking and powerful food processor. It's quiet too. When you need to chop and slice large amount of vegetables and meat it can turn a half hour work into seconds. This is really a tool that you can rely on in the kitchen.
