Kknow

Kobina Wright
Magnify it until it becomes as big as your head

peering slow like a three-toed sloth

Making sure that the addition has a real purpose

and is not apart of a careless mistake

Mistakes may dress up like a word on occasion

but every dressed up word does not bathe

in expensive perfumes and parade around pages

like un-thoughtful blunders

While the second letter is matronly and silent

the first is drenched in tyro energy

with a bag of social causes on its back

ready to hand out and take on as it sees fit

The first letter clumsily places an extra issue

on knowing that knowing has never had before

It does not offer but insists on a strong kindness

and polar attention to the moral and ethical issues

of life, of land and all breathing and non-breathing things

The first letter aggressively takes a stance about

rumors of its functionality in the alphabet

and embraces the symbolism that sits

stagnant in the crevices of our complex minds

and irrigates the stillness into forward and positive movement

for the benefit of the universe

It gives our thoughts sustenance

the nutrients to grow and expand our individual worlds

We can know without kknowing

but reach the end of this brand of options

when we kknow and can't un-know
