Running is a much more violent activity than most people give credit for. Your feet pound against the ground. Your knee absorbs all of this force and you do it for hours at a time. When purchasing a knee brace for running, many runners think that only a custom one will do the job for them because of the uniqueness of their knee. This is hardly the case, however. Custom knee braces are also quite expensive and the investment might not be worth it when you look at how much it will really improve your running form. The fact is that a regular \knee brace will do more than enough to get your running on the right track. You can save several hundred dollars by sticking to a mass produced knee brace instead of a custom one.
