When assembled, the K'NEX Lincoln Logs Bicentennial Edition measures ten point five inches by eleven point two inches by nine point nine inches. It is best displayed on a wooden table or even on a bookshelf. It looks really rustic with its pieces,(that are made of wood only), that comprise of logs, roof eaves and roof slats. The idea is to build a replica of Abraham Lincoln's birthplace. However, kids can also use their imagination, to create any structure they want with the K'nex pieces. All the K'nex pieces fit together, making it so much fun and giving the kids limitless possibilities with as to what they can build. The end result of the K'NEX Lincoln Logs Bicentennial Edition is beautiful and is a wonderful display item which can be displayed alongside its equally beautiful special edition commemorative tin.
However, my kids of course wanted to take it apart right away and build an entirely new structure of their own. That is what I like about K'nex sets. They encourage kids to use their imaginations, and encourage wholesome play. I would rather have them working hours on end on their K'nex set, that sitting in front of the television or the computer. The K'NEX Lincoln Logs Bicentennial Edition was really a good idea. I am happy that K'nex decided to honor the great Abraham Lincoln, as it reminds us of his great contributions to America, to make it what it is today. I love that they honored this great man, instead of some superficial celebrity or model. My kids interest in Abraham Lincoln was piqued when I got them the K'NEX Lincoln Logs Bicentennial Edition.
K'nex sets are really quality products and they really maintained their superior workmanship with the K'NEX Lincoln Logs Bicentennial Edition. I really like the quality of their toys, and find them a better alternative to Lego items.
