Knit Wrap Scarf: Ten Free Patterns
Links to the Patterns and a Brief Description of the Supplies Needed
Knitting a wrap scarf can be a satisfying experience. Whether you are creating the scarf for your own use or as a gift the scarf becomes a special piece of hand-crafted art for the person who will wear it. By choosing the correct pattern, yarn and style of scarf you ensure that the scarf will be appreciated and worn for many years.
I enjoy the wrap scarf. It is very versatile and may be made with a variety of yarns. A light weight yarn is used to create a light, airy scarf which may be wrapped around the neck and worn year around as an accessory. A heavier yarn will make a warm, bulkier scarf for those cold winter days to keep the neck warm. A medium or light weight wool yarn can be knit to create a specific type of wrap scarf to serve the needs of the person wearing it.
I will list ten of the best sites which offer free, downloadable wrap scarf patterns. All of the patterns have links to the sites and a brief description of the scarf which may be created.
