About as close to being homeless
as one can be
without actually being there?
Are you knocking on the exit door?
No one has answered it yet
and pulled you off the floor,
you partially paid for?
Do you feel you are surrounded by bullies,
that like to step on the poor?
.
Rude, with an inflated attitude overwhelmed with silly:
Offer the poor a job
to display, you have done your part,
after all, you are Mister and Miss Nice, right?
Don't offer the poor enough work
to make it worth their while.
Let their bills pile up.
Keep them behind on their rent.
Feed them a little bit,
but keep them at a crawl.
Later you may choose to buy their house cheap.
Force them to be at mercy to the government.

Let us have fancy new cars and boats
and extra ones for people to look at,
so the people will be awed.
Doesn't it feel great to be praised,
being the envy of all?

great job ♥ thanks for sharing;somewhere there has to be a balance
We are all going to be squatting in their foreclosed mansions soon.
All this stuff makes me angry. I have a distant relative that stole millions and got off with only community service, and his daughter won't even give me the time of day because she sees me as "white trash." But the truth of the matter is, I didn't get poor by myself. And what little money I have has been obtained honestly. I'm legally disabled and no one will give me a job although I was able to earn a college degree in spite of all my problems. I've made my share of mistakes in life, but it seems that the people who keep us down, look down on us.
Things truly are out of balance, great poem!
