Forget waiting in line for park admission this summer. Head over to Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pennsylvania for free. You enter this amusement park and cannot help but think about days gone by.

You do not have to worry about people running for the doors trying to be the first inside. With both free admission and parking you can stroll leisurely toward the entrance. Huge trees provide you shade as you near the park gates.

This is great for those who love to go to amusement parks to walk around; to just take in the scenery and people watch. With prices for everything so outrageous today it is nice to be able to enjoy something for free.

Once inside you are able to tailor your visit to Knoebels Amusement Resort to your own preference. Tickets for old-fashioned favorite rides such as the Tilt-o-Whirl can be purchased. For one ride on the Tilt-o-Whirl it will cost you $1.25.

The food, is typical for an amusement park, with options ranging from funnel cakes to pizza. Interestingly enough though you are allowed to bring in your own refreshments. This is another opportunity to save money.

You will not find an elaborate water park here, but there are still plenty of ways to cool off. One favorite spot for many park goers is the massive pool complete with large winding slides. There are also several water rides to go on if you need to cool down.

This family owned amusement park is low on the cost and big on the fun. Your trip to Knoebels Amusement Resort is really whatever you make of it.

Around Knoebels Amusement Resort you will find plenty of cottage and camp rentals. Lake Glory, owned by Knoebels, is located just minutes away from the amusement park. Free shuttle service is offered to and from. If you prefer you can camp right on site at Knoebels campground; tents, cabins, and campers provide many choices for all.

For those wishing to practice their golf swing, Three Ponds Golf Course, an 18-hole course, is minutes away from the park.

Inside Knoebels Amusement Resort you will find a miniature golf course for the entire family to enjoy. There is an extra charge for this attraction.

A ski-lift ride operates inside the park and it takes park visitors to the top of a nearby mountain that borders the park.

Daily shows and live entertainment.

55 rides; everything from old time favorites such as the Tea Cups to the new and innovative rides like The Phoenix. The Phoenix is a wooden roller coaster that reaches speeds of up to 45 miles per-hour and has an outrageous 72-foot drop.
