Know What Your Dreams May Be Telling You?

Insight into Dream Interpretations: Part 1

Sparkle772
Dreams are a part of almost every humans' life. They can seem so real and feel exactly like reality. Sometimes there are those who wake up in the morning in total confusion. Where am I? Did that just happen? Let me pinch myself. Many people will feel more at ease in their dreams. Others wake up fearful, more exhaustive, and in a cloudy conscious world. Males and females can have similar dreams, in similar places or events. It is often good to record the things that happen in one's dream. Researching these things can often give us an in-depth discovery of who we really are; our insecurities, phobias, fantasies, and fears. Objects in our dreams can often give subtle hints to things we are missing in life or show us our true feelings toward life's many trials. Here are some interpretations of things one may find in their dreams.

Vanishing Partner

You are making passionate love when your partner just vanishes; such a dream suggests passion that is frustrated in some way. A variation is the dream of making love to a stranger with no face. But in this case the emphasis is on your desire to experiment sexually (Cheng, Pg. 524).

Public Lovemaking

In this dream you find yourself making love in a very public place; such a dream suggests that you feel your private life has made public in some way or that people are speculating about private life (Cheng, Pg. 524).

Bible

Traditional moral standards; religion or one's feelings about it; one's most inclusive realizations, in which case see aura; those things one holds to be most true; as it represents traditional religion, it may depict one's conflicts or difficulties with religious organizations (Crisp, Pg. 84).

Burglar/Intruder

Fears or difficult emotions arising from the unconscious; neglected parts of yourself that if met could change your viewpoint to a more mature or inclusive one; feelings to do with intrusion. Female Dream: sometimes repressed desire for or fear of male partner or sex; or desire for a better sexual relationship (Crisp, Pg 116).

Burial

Letting go of the past as we knew it, and opening the way to a meeting with what we gained from it; repressing experience that may be painful or we do not wish to meet; feelings about death or loss. Buried Alive: memories of difficult birth and its fears (Crisp, Pg. 116).

Gunfire

Guns are associated with violence, death and war, and to hear a gun in your dream may suggest your unconscious wish for someone to be taken out of your way as they are blocking your progress. A single shot, such as the shot fired by a starter pistol at the beginning of a race, may suggest the pressure you feel if you are under a harsh deadline for completing a project (Cheung, Pg. 556).

Mars

Action and initiative. Mars is the first planet outside the orbit of the Earth and is associated with action, assertion, aggression, or initiative. The Mars archetype is associated with the Greek mythic figure of Ares, the god of war, and it tells you how you can control your anger and get things going. Mars is embodied by the warrior or hero archetype (Cheung, Pg. 561).

Cold

Held-back emotions especially fear; feeling neglected or "left out in the cold"; sometimes connected with feelings about death. Idioms: cold shoulder; cold storage; cold feet; in cold blood; cold refreshing; cold murderous rage (Crisp, Pg. 136).

Faithless

To dream that your friends are faithless; denotes that they will hold you in worthy esteem. For a lover to dream that his sweetheart is faithless; signifies a happy marriage (Dream Interpretations Guide).

Fame

To dream of being famous, denotes disappointed aspirations. To dream of famous people, portends you rise from obscurity to places of honor (Dream Interpretation Guide).

Abortion

A woman that had this experience is most likely to have many dreams about it. Even though the dream may be disturbing or anxiety-provoking, it is a healing dream. It is possible that in your dream state you are working toward acceptance and are resolving any unconscious feelings. If a man is having this dream, it usually means that he is experiencing guilt feelings and may be anticipating failure of some kind. If a woman who has not had this experience is having the dream, it may be a warning about her health or may indicate that she is feeling significant anxiety about current endeavors (Dream Lover Inc.).
