Camping is best enjoyed in the presence of one's family and friends. A good time can be ensured if the weather conditions seem perfect (the lesser the chances of rain, the better), an abundant supply of food is available or games are played to pass time. These include hiking, fishing, drawing objects of nature even goes to hunting. Campers are usually spotted during their vacations. A sleeping bag and hammock come in handy too. You sleep outdoors in a jungle or wilderness with a backpack.
Two kinds of camping are popular in the U.S. They are known as back-country and car camping. In the first one, you venture into the wilderness with a backpack containing your things and leave everything behind. The definition of car camping is that you park your car next to the encampment.
Preferences vary when deciding to choose between the two. Car camping is perfect for those who want to absorb the wonders of nature while being able to use many home luxuries which are present in their cars. Backpacking is more 'primitive' and it is selected by those who love watching the scenery. In other words, you are 'roughing it' as there is no heat to keep you warm in the winters or air conditioning to provide cooling comfort in the summers.
Coming to the tents, below are some points on how to choose the most suitable ones to make camping perfect.
• Size matters
It should be big so that you can sleep with total ease and have enough room to keep your equipment.
• Weather
Have a waterproof tent in case of rain.
• Strength
The legs and tent poles should be strong enough and the fastenings should be safe.
The A-Frame tent
Possessing a traditional shape, it benefits in the sense of being light but can be claustrophobic. A safari tent provides more relaxation and is steadier.
• Others include the heavier cabin tents, the modified A-frame type, tunnel model, single hoop, hoop and dome tents. Not to mention yurts.
