The devil is more afraid of you than you are of him. That's why he fights us so hard. One of the things I noticed that the devil does is he tries to make you doubt your worth. If he can convince you that you're less than and powerless he knows that he'll be able to better control your mind and manipulate you. He'll interfere with whatever he knows can promote your growth of becoming the honorable vessel you are destined to be. Destined meaning it's already happened he's already seen it and he knows that faith is essential for us to get to that expected end. He knows that if we value getting to that expected end; there is nothing a devil in hell can do to stop us. So what does he do, he tries to strip us of our value and worth to make us think that we no longer are worthy. One of the main methods that he uses is our relationship with others.
You ever see someone who you know; personally dating someone whom doesn't fit him or her? It's as if they are settling. If you dig deep into their history of relationships you will find that somewhere along the line they've been hurt. I have a friend who is a really good guy. His entire child and teenage life he was very popular with the ladies. He could basically have any girl he wanted. He knew that he was a great catch and therefore he didn't date just anyone. Girls worshipped him they treated him like gold even if they knew they were never going to be his girlfriend. They were satisfied just being able to be in his presence or to have him pay them attention. They treated him like a King and he felt like a King. So naturally he never thought that anyone woman would ever mistreat him. If anything he felt that they should be grateful because he knew he was worthy of their adoration and only he could decide if he wanted to show his appreciation. Then one day he met someone who at first was not worthy of him but she grew on him and he fell madly in love with her. He adored her and even had a child with her. He felt complete and thought that he had found his soul mate. Then one day his happy world came crashing down on him when he discovered that she was cheating on him. He was heart broken beyond say. How could she do this to him? He gave himself to her and her only when he could have easily been with anyone else. Women far more beautiful than she was. He felt so betrayed. He was filled with emotions that he'd never felt or thought he'd ever feel they tormented him and still continue to torment him. Somehow this situation had made him feel like women no longer adored him anymore that he was no longer a great catch. He felt that his worth was no longer as valuable as it once was. Ever since then he has been settling for less. He doesn't trust women because he doesn't trust their feelings or his own, he feels as though he'll never be adored or loved as much as he use to be. So he doesn't mind if he's with someone who mistreats him, or neglects him because it reminds him that this is the territory that comes along with being of less value. So he settled with just knowing that he can still get some attention as opposed to none. Something is better than nothing? I beg to differ, I think it depends on where that something or nothing leads.
The devil knows that if you ever tap into who you really are or better yet who's you really are; that no devil in hell will be able to come against you. They can try but they'll fail every time. He knows that you are a child of God and that you have power over him. God is our father and God is all-powerful and undefeated. God is going to protect us from the devil but when we stray away from our father and allow the problems of this life to weaken us and cloud our judgement the devil swoops in and tries to devour us. The devils know s that when we stay out of contact with our father is causes us to become vulnerable and easily subdued. Then we begin to work against God because we feel like we're no longer worthy of his help and love. So we settle for less and the devil has less to offer. Don't settle for less we are royalty, we are children of the King meaning we have unmerited favor and Glory. Not because of who we are but because of whom our father is. Don't let the devil deceive you with unsuccessful relations or friendships. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. As long as you're alive there is some glory to be gotten out of you. Praise God because if anyone of us has been heart broken we know the pitiful messes that we can become. It's degrading and shameful. We know that the worse thing a Prince or Princess can do is bring shame to the Kingdom. But our King, our Father still counts us worthy and honorable!!!!!
If someone took a hundred dollar bill and balled it up, stomped all over it, or even covered it with mud would that stop you from wanting it? Of course not because once you straighten it out, and clean it up it's still a hundred-dollar bill. It never loses its value or worth even after being mistreated. A child of God never loses their worth even after being deceived. Be encouraged!!!! Myra Smith Grace&Peace
