Kodak Easy Share Digital Camera C653
A Compact Little Camera Packed with All Sorts of Cool Functions.
There are tons of digital cameras out there; different shapes and brands and it can be mind numbing trying to decide which one to buy. What first drew me to this camera was the brand name. Every camera I've ever owned was a Kodak, from a plastic 110 instant load, to a 35mm, so I knew it was a good, reliable brand.
It's a compact little camera packed with all sorts of cool functions. It's very easy to turn on and focus, so you won't miss that once in a lifetime shot. The LCD screen at 2.4 inches provides plenty of viewing area and it's very comfortable to hold in my hands. The feature buttons on the outside are very easy to read. Instead of just symbols indicating what the functions are, the words for those functions are listed just above the buttons. You don't know how many times I've used someone else's camera and couldn't figure out how to turn it on because the symbols were so confusing.
Another great feature about this camera is the self-timer. Not only can you put yourself in the picture with your friends, but you can also set the camera up in front of a mirror and take a picture of it. That's how I took the picture for this article.
When I was in college, I took a couple of photography classes using a manual camera where I was introduced to exposure time and ISO speed. That's another thing that drew me to this camera. It has a couple of the same features that a manual camera has, which can add variety and creative to your photos.
There is also a video function, which lets you capture up to 30 frames of film with sound. It can be edited in the camera, or upload to the provided software where you can view and edit the frames. And the sound quality is very good.
The megapixals range from 1.1 (4 in x 6 in) to 6.1 (20 in x 30 in). So the quality of photos you take are great. The features range from low-light conditions, to fireworks, to candle light and more, which can all be easily accessed to ensure the best quality photos.
The one drawback I found was that there was not a camera case enclosed. The camera cost under $130.00, but I had to spend a little more for camera case, but it's worth it to protect my new Kodak Easy Share Camera. Overall, I think it's a great camera for beginners as well as advanced users.

Post a CommentHow come i put a 1 or 2gbs or even a 4gbs inmy C653 easy share camera, and all it says is that i can only take 10 pics. Why is that that camera is supposed to take more than that.
Josie - I received my camera last week. Seems to take a few seconds to focus and shoot. Not to mention the disc access seems a bit noisy. Do you experience the same? This is my first digital camera and I'm concerned it was not shipped with sufficient pkg protection.
I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying your digital camera. I just bought my first digital camera last summer too, and now I don't know how I lived without it! Film development is so annoyingly costly when only 30% of your photos come out looking okay. Also, I didn't have a scanner so I had to pay the extra $5 or whatever to get the digital CD with each roll of film.
Nice prouduct review!
