Kodak Easyshare C743 Vs Hp M525 Digital Cameras

Kodak Makes a Nice Easy to Conquer Digital Camera

Susan Antonelli
I had no idea you could upgrade your camera for 15% off if you turn your old camera in when I dropped my Kodak camera, a camera I'd only had a few weeks.I took a flop over the front stairs and dropped it on a tile floor. It still worked but the battery door pops open so it's a real pain to use. I found out from talkin gto other owners of this style that this is a problem even if you don't drop the camera. Luckily, my kids stepped in and bought me the Kodak Easyshare C743 for Mother's Day..I also had an HP Photosmart M525 that I broke -dropped again. I haven't had a good run with my digital cameras. One other digital camera I purchased as a gift for my grand daughter wouldn't hold a charge.I'm still trying to straighten this problmem out with Staples where it was purchased.

The Kodak Easyshare C743 has instant memory, video, zoom, and on camera cropping. It offers red eye reduction, an undo delete feature so you can get rid of the pictures you don't want. You get multiple scenes and multiple modes a well as a two shot timer. You can also purchase a printer dock so you can create photos instantly. The camera offers a video with audio feature with audio. An excellent feature is that if your photo is blurry it will let you know immediately. It will also automatically rotate your pictures or you as well. You get a high quality lens that zooms to 3X giving you very sharp photos. particularly like the big screen since being older I need granny glasses to use a small screen they offer 13 programmed modes like snow, fireworks, backlit, beach, day, sports, landscape and night mode. Also, the screen is non glare, a very nice feature. It has a great memory back up, if your camera becomes full you can switch to in camera mode. YOu get three color options, sepia, black and white or color. The details are crisp and it can enlarge to 5X.

Included with your camera You get a strap, adapter, CD Rom, two AA batteries, two manuals in four languages. You do have to purchase a card. I've been quite pleased with this version of the digital cameras available. It's perfect for someone like me, I just take photos for fun and pleasure.

If you call the Kodak C743 support center you can get a user manual with tech support. I am mechanically challenged and yet I was able to grasp the workings of this camera very quickly so I haven't tried this offer..

Kodak is a well respected company that has ranked highest in customer service three years in a row. I would strongly suggest avoiding buying this at Staples since their customer support is spotty and depends on who the manager is at the moment. I've had very good service and I've had a nightmare of an experience with Staples and digital cameras . Right now, I'm going back and forth with the president of Staples. We just keep missing one another's calls. We're trying to work out a nasty attitude problem with the staff when i went to return a camera that I had just purchased. It wouldn't hold a charge.

Another camera I went through was the Hp M525. The problem with this camera was that the battery door would not stay closed. The company does not offer a replacement for this so it was put in the pile of camera discards that the kids could play with. It offered almost all the same features as my C723 but had a smaller screen. It also would pause after each picture unless you used the burst or sport feature. The pause was for processing which meant losing a lot of photo ops while waiting for it to go to the ready mode. The Hp M525 gives you a 14 day return policy with a restocking fee. Not a lot of leeway as far as warranty. It offered a variety of modes just like all my previous cameras, zoom, macro, action, delete, burst, night, snow , video with audio, etc. This camera requires LCD to shoot. This also was an easy to learn camera.

The Kodak Easyshare camera was around $149 .95 and I received it as a gift, the others were all in the same price range but this has been the best of the cameras I've had so far.
