I am not an avid shopper but when I need to shop for apparel or housewares, I pick up the newspaper and search the ads or view my email account for the latest savings available from the retailer, Kohl's. I am on their email and mailing list so I receive regular coupons and sales offers. If you are a shopper it probably would be worth the time to peruse Kohl's sales flyers and ads.
We recently visited the Kohl's store in Gastonia, North Carolina where we were visiting family for a few days. I had called my daughter to confirm the current sizes of our two growing grandchildren and then began looking for some summer outfits to give them for Children's Day which is designated as the second Sunday of June each year. Because of their sensitive skin, we have to purchase 100% cotton clothing and Kohl's fits the bill to meet this need. I quickly found what I wanted for our grandchildren and was quite pleased that everything was on sale. My husband, who is not a shopper in any sense of the word, is pleased with the fitted dress shirts sold at Kohl's and consistently purchases his dress and casual shirts from Kohl's. Not all men's stores offer fitted shirts so he is now a loyal Kohl's shopper. We did not have our Kohl's card with us but a trip to the Customer Service Desk resulted in a temporary pass given for the day after we provided adequate identification. Major credit cards are accepted at Kohl's if you prefer.
If you live in an area where Kohl's is located, you probably have noticed the frequent sales ads in the newspapers as well as posted ads received through your email account or other computer devices. How Kohl's is able to offer such savings so often and yet remain in business as a viable competitor to the other large department stores is beyond me but I am grateful for the savings I receive each visit. Whatever savings you receive on a particular shopping trip is clearly listed on the bottom of your receipt. To fully realize the benefit of the amount of savings per trip, we put the actual amount saved into our household piggy bank which is a marvelous way to build the household savings account.
Watch your newspapers and carefully consider what purchases you can make at a savings. Ask to be placed on their email and mailing list. If you do not live in an area where Kohl's is located, do not despair. You can log on to their website at www.kohls.com and shop to your heart's content. Enjoy the savings!

Post a CommentI wish we had a Kohl's nearby- nearest one is over 2 hours away, and I LOVE the store
great article on savings!
I am not familiar with Kohl's.
great article :) Met a couple from Minnesota at the Kohl's in Reno - they were shopping on the day they got special perks for having a card - did not want to miss their deals.:)
The kids clothes are very cheap. Their return policy is great also.
my friend went yesterday, and even without the 30% coupon they gave her the 30% off anyway!
What a thoughtful grandmother you are! My husband bought some casual slacks from Kohl's a couple of years ago, and he's not a shopper in the least bit. Yet we had a coupon, and he had a need... He was so floored by the price and the quality, he couldn't stop raving about it. Kohl's is the only place he'll consider shopping, and he still gets excited when he thinks about it. He really does look good in the slacks, too.
We have a Kohl's very close by - good sales. cheers ;)
Good to know about. Don't know if we have that here in Los Angeles.
Annette I too am not much of a shopper. But now I can look at Kohl's with new eyes based on your personal experience. Great write-up and review.
