Kona, Hawaii Submarine Tour

Dive 100 Ft. Below Kona Hawaii

Rik Rodriguez
As a young boy I remember watching television and seeing the submarines dive to unimaginable depths. The crews saw creatures that had never been viewed by human eyes. Of course then you grow up and find out that your cousin had the same dream and spent six months at a time out to sea in a submarine. I believe I will pass on that experience.

These days there are commercial vessels that service many ports. A regular person can take a submarine ride and witness what only a few had the privilege to see before. This particular submarine ride from Atlantis submarines is around 70 minutes and begins at the Kailua Kona pier in Kona Hawaii of course on the Big Island. The mini submarine holds 48 people. They have a knowledgeable captain and crew that will put you at ease every step of the way. So sit back and relax!

In Kona Hawaii on The Big Island you can have the experience of your life. There is a company in Kona called Atlantis Submarines where you can experience the under sea world of Hawaii in the comfort of a real submarine. This is one of the Kona activities that you will not want to miss. Until recently not many people were able to experience the depths on Kona Hawaii.

Off the Kona Hi. coast there is an ancient lava bed that has grown to be one of the most magnificent coral reefs in all of the Hawaiian Islands. Home to thousands of fish and marine animals you will see Hawaii like you have never seen it before. The mini submarine dives slowly to over 100 feet below sea level. You will settle on the bottom of the ocean and witness Kona under water in all its splendor. Truly one of the greatest experience that I have had in Hawaii. They have tours everyday that depart from Kailua-Kona Pier through the day. Do not miss out on this life changing experience. Your whole family will enjoy the mini submarine ride in air conditioned comfort.

Atlantis Submarines also have mini submarines in Waikiki, Oahu, Lahaina and Maui. You may have seen them on National Geographic television specials. Watch for Atlantis submarines to do more National Geographic specials in the future also.Come and visit Kona, Hawaii and experience 100 feet below the surface of Kona Hawaii.
